New Horizons is an Italian progressive metal band from Pisa, which was formed in 2014 under the joint initiative by the guitarists Giacomo Froli & Nicola Gianni, as well as the keyboardist Luca Guidi. Inspired by bands like: Dream Theater, Haken, Symphony X, Circus Maximus, they spent two years to concentrate further on the band, which resulted the right lineup consists of the drummer Federico Viviani and bassist Claudio Froli, the project started taking off in the right direction. In 2015 the band completed the lineup with the arrival of the singer Oscar Nini, and they released the demo 'The Trail of Shadows', which contains three songs that became important pieces of their future. In March 2017 New Horizons entered the studio and began recordings of "Inner Dislocation". The band marked their debut in the progressive metal world by releasing the first album on February 23, 2018, with the label "Revalve Records" and in 2019 they opened Haken tour in Italy. New Horizons is currently working on their second album which is expected to be released in 2023.
